11 Pounds in the Very First Week! (3 Week Diet)

" I’ve lost 11 Pounds in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic! " - Vanessa B. (More details)

As we all know, the health benefits of lemon and honey are enormous, but very few of us are aware of the fact that horseradish is even healthier and filled with benefits.

Hence, horseradish provides several health advantages like alleviating boosting the immune system, respiratory conditions, promoting weight loss, stimulating heart health, promoting healthy digestion, building strong bones and lowering the blood pressure.

Moreover, the root of horseradish has been used for the promoted uses of medicinal purposes in the past and can even be found in supermarkets today.

These are not the only benefits of horseradish. Furthermore, it contains an enormous nutritional value, enclosing magnesium, potassium, zinc, calcium, folate, vitamin C, dietary fiber, and oils. Not only is it healthy, it is also very low in calories.

One serving contains only 6 calories! Hence, horseradish is one of the best things you can consume during your weight loss procedure.

If you buy larger roots, grate as much as you need and keep the rest of it in aluminum foil. Make sure you keep it it refrigerated together with the rest of your vegetables.  If you want to keep it fresh for about 3 weeks, mix it with 4 teaspoons of lemon juice or vinegar and a teaspoon of sugar. Put all of this in a jar and keep it for up to 3 weeks the most.

  1. Hello: I want to try this recipe, but the ingredients do not indicate how much vinegar and water to use for the 3 lemons. Also, the instructions did not indicate whether or not to remove the skin of the lemons or blend all of the lemons except for the seeds. I do not own a blender so will a NutriBullet be an acceptable replacement for a blender? Thank you for posting this recipe and Thank you in Advance for your response. Respectfully DLS

    1. I think it is meant to wash the lemons with water and vinegar mix because the it is stated that unpeeled lemons are used - check the third paragraph. A nutribullet is just a namebrand for a blender.

    1. It doesn't say to place in the food; it says to take 1 tsp with meals. Meaning sip 1 tsp twice a day immediately before/after eating.

    2. Take a teaspoon of this twice a day with your meals.(NOTE: There is a period indicating an end to a sentence)
New sentence after the period states: "Drink this for three weeks."

Two different instructions... first sentence indicated an action of eating, the second sentence instructs and action of drinking...

    1. I am not sure about horseradish being in a jar, but I am going to purchase some horseradish if I can find it. Also, I am going to research the difference between radishes and horseradish. I am thinking the radish is the root from which horseradish is made.

  14. I have been doing this since the 10th of December 2016 and today is the 13th. In that time I lost 4 pounds. When I made the Balm, it looks more like a paste, I didn't have horseradish in root form so I just made it with what I had on hand. I think why it is working is that the lemons are like a fiber and it has cleansing me out these past couple of days. Don't know how long it will work but when I am done with this batch I will look for the root horseradish and see what happens with that. I am pleasantly surprised that I have lost anything with this but I thought what could I lose. We will see after a couple of weeks if it still works.

  19. I actually like this. Not only is it really tasty, it's healthy. My first go at it I used jarred horseradish, making sure it was as pure as possible, having only horseradish, vinegar and water in the ingredients. (Fisher's Pure Horseradish is what I used), obtained from Walmart in the bread/condiment isle.

The recipe I saw was very much like the one on this blog with some ginger added to it, though I also added a pinch of red pepper as well. Basically, I made my basic hot toddy with apple-cider vinegar, honey & water but added the horseradish, ginger & hot pepper to it. It was really good.

My other recipe is what is originally known as The Master Cleanse - 1/2 lemon with 8oz hot water, 1T maple syrup & pinch of cayenne pepper. And excellent drink hot or cold. Then I added the horseradish to it as well, which was very good. Then I added the ginger, and it was also very good.

I deal with a lot of cellular swelling, inflammatory bowls and extremely severe chronic constipation. A body was never meant to hold on to toxic waste for extreme amounts of time. But I am here to tell you that the addition of the horseradish has helped me tremendously and made it so I actually have regular bowl movements now, something I was never privy to in the whole of my life until now. Rarely do I miss a day anymore with this.

By the way, the Fisher's Pure Horseradish is mild enough that it can actually be eaten directly out of the jar. It's even great on burgers. And believe me when I say my body notices when I don't do this. It swells up big time and refuses to empty like it should when I don't do what has been to me a serious life-saver. It also helps to give me enough energy that I don't sleep my days away along with my nights. So when I say these recipes (with the horseradish & ginger) are a life-saver, I mean it.

And something else of note: To my happy surprise, I have noticed my stomach pooch shrinking, like my abdomen's working on getting back to the way it was before I had kids.

My body has gone through serious extremes for quite some time. I thought I was resigned to wearing nothing but maternity clothes for the rest of my life due to the severe extremes in shape and size my body goes through on the daily basis. Sometimes if I eat or drink something that decides it's going to be extremely hostile to me then it may take a week or better to get back to normal. For now though, I am extremely pleased with the discovery of adding horseradish to my drinks. Just wish I had known about it years ago. Even so, it's still a God-send and one I highly recommend.
